As an expression of our working partnership with Australia Post and in recognition of the financial support it offers our service, Mensline Australia provides a telephone support service dedicated to Australia Post men and their families. Operated independently of Post, the service provides confidential counselling, information and referral for men with family and relationship concerns.

This initiative was established with Australia Post in recognition that family and relationship concerns impact significantly on men’s work performance. When experiencing relationship difficulties, men are more likely to be distracted, unable to concentrate, take time off from work, suffer mental or physical health problems or even be involved in industrial accidents - all of which have a significant impact on business.

Mensline Australia is proud to announce new partnerships with trucking companies Riordan Grain Services, Westgate Logistics, Williams Bulk Haulage and Wheadons Transport. Trucks from of these companies are now carrying 100 the Mensline Australia message through rural and regional areas along their haulage routes. Each year, these heavy vehicles will travel a total of approximately 52,000,000kms. By displaying the Mensline Australia logo, telephone number and web address on their trucks and by carrying Mensline Australia brochures in their cabins these companies are help us get the message to the rural communities.

This advertising will help to highlight that there are support services out there for men in need, particularly those men with family and relationship concerns. Relationship breakdown has been identified as a strong predictor of suicide among men particularly those aged between 25 and 44 years.

Riordan Grain Services operate 28 heavy haulage B double carrying grain and fuel all over the eastern states. Jim Riordan mentioned during a meeting “If one of these signs saves a life, then it’s worth the effort”

Riordans transport entered a vehicle in the Variety Club Bash. Also carrying the Mensline Australia message, this older model Ford Fairllane had been modified for the trip, and Driver by Jim and his team each year supporting the Variety Club, and now Mensline Australia.

Westgate Logistics are supporting Mensline with signs on selected long haul vehicles that travel the entire east cost of Australia. Westgate are a huge logistic operation that covers the entire country. They have been very supportive of Mensline operation.

Harold and Helen Williams operate Williams Bulk Haulage from Shepparton Victoria. They operate 35 heavy vehicles which are doing cartage in the southern states. The Williams where the first to run with this promotion project and we noticed a measurable increase in callers with hours of the first vehicle travelling through central Victoria. They run a fabulous service, thanks.

Ray Wheadon visited our operation earlier this year and was impressed by what he saw. He shared with us anecdotes about the men he and his team see every day in rural communities. “Anything I can do to help… I will,” he said. Now his heavy vehicles and vans carry the Mensline message from North Queensland to South Australia.
