1. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Study
The study, conducted by a Swinburne University of Technology research team, is investigating the effectiveness of an internet-based PTSD treatment program. The 10-week cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) treatment program is delivered via the internet with email support from a psychologist. This research follows on from the success of a similar research study - Panic Online - for the treatment of panic disorder.
Invitation to Participate:
If you have PTSD, or are concerned you may have, then you are invited to register for the PTSD Online research study. The main eligibility requirements are that you reside in Australia, are aged 18 years or older, you have a primary diagnosis of PTSD (as assessed by one of our psychologists), and you have an email address and internet access. Participation in the study involves no financial outlay on your part.

4. Sacrifice and Commitment in Relationships
This study aims to understand how sacrifice and commitment contribute to long-term relationships.
The project will also investigate the links between relationships break-ups and depression in men.
Two groups will be needed for the study. The first group will consist of couples who have been
in a stable relationship for over one year. The second group will include 50 men and 50 women
who have separated within the past 2 years (or who are in the process of separating).
If you fall into either of these groups and would like to participate in the research
please contact Kenan Rahmanovic via email: kkrahm001@student.acu.edu.au
5. Parent Wellbeing Survey
Are you the parent of a young child aged 6 years or under? If so, be part of a ground-breaking
national survey investing parenting fatigue...
Parenting is a rewarding and fulfilling experience, BUT it can also be stressful,
demanding and tiring. What impact does parent wellbeing and fatigue have on raising
children? Unfortunately very little is currently known about this important area of
parenting. So if you're the parent of a child aged 0-6 we're inviting you to participate
in a ground-breaking survey exploring this area.
The survey should take between 20-30 minutes to complete and will provide us —
the Parenting Research Centre — with valuable information about parent wellbeing and
fatigue that will be of real value in developing information and strategies to better support
families. Responses are anonymous.
Interested parents of children aged 0-6, can complete this survey online by clicking on the
following link -
(parent wellbeing survey) or by going to www.parentingrc.org.au.

6. Evaluation of Mental Health First Aid Educational Materials — a Randomised Controlled Trial
The University of Melbourne, with the support of an Australian Rotary Health Research Fund,
would like to evaluate the impact of mental health first aid educational materials on
participant's knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards people with mental health problems.
Participants will be randomly assigned into one of the following groups: 1) receive an e-learning
CD-ROM; 2) receive a hard-copy manual or 3) be added to a Waiting List to receive educational
materials.
You will be asked to fill in three online surveys over a seven month period. Each survey
will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. We will be comparing survey responses from
people who work through the educational materials, with survey responses from people who are
on the Waiting List to receive them. See Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) website for more information:
http://www.mhfa.com.au/elearning_mhfa.shtml and scroll down to 'Evaluation of e-learning CD-ROM'.
Participants required: Adult members of the general public (18 years and over)
who have access to a computer with a CD drive and the internet.
